Eunice is a teenager running away from her father’s sexual harassment. Alejandro is a rocker who breaks into a drugstore and leaves for Havana with a couple of friends. When their fates meet on the road, they decide to travel together in search of a paradise. This will mark the rest of their lives. GERARDO CHIJONA Writer-Director Cuba Gerardo Chijona is a graduate of the University of Havana, where he majored in English and American literature. He worked as a film critic and assistant director in the Cuban Film Institute (ICAIC) before starting to direct award-winning documentaries. His first feature was ADORABLES MENTIRAS (ADORABLE LIES, 1992), which he developed at the Sundance Institute, attending screenwriting and directing labs. The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and have received several awards internationally. His two other features, UN PARAISO BAJO LAS ESTRELLAS ( A PARADISE UNDER THE STARS,1999) and PERFECTO AMOR EQUIVOCADO (LOVE BY MISTAKE, 2004 ), were also premiered at Sundance. Those films have also been shown at Cannes, San Sebastian, Toronto, New York, Montreal, San Francisco, Los Angeles (AFI), Chicago, La Habana, Mar del Plata, Cartagena, Cairo, New Dehli film festivals. He has just completed BOLETO AL PARAISO (TICKET TO PARADISE). He regularly offers screenwriting and directing workshops at the International Film School at San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba.
